Worship Post: "Keep Our Eyes Open" by The Nashville Nine

"Keep Our Eyes Open" by The Nashville Nine is a song that talks about keeping our eyes open no matter what.

First a bit of History, this song was wrote for Young Life by a group of musicians that remain anonymous.

The first verse of the song goes, "Anything could happen
Anything is possible
We could leave it all behind
We could be unstoppable
This could be the first day of the future
The last day of the past
This could be the start of something greater
Don't let this moment pass"

absolutely love that verse! We are reminded of Romans 8:31 which states "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for Us, Who can Be against us?"

The chorus is one of the most powerful choruses, I have ever seen! The chorus goes, "We gotta keep our eyes, keep our eyes, open
Oh we gotta keep our eyes, keep our eyes, open
Hands held high, running to the light
We gotta keep our eyes, keep our eyes, open"

Throughout all of our troubles, we gotta keep our eyes open. I am currently reading a book by Pastor Craig Groeschel called "Hope In The Dark" throughout all of our troubles, we NEED to have Hope In The Dark!!

The 2nd Verse goes, "We all have a place here
What if we were made for this?
What if there is grace here?
We don't want to miss it
Could it be the life we've always wanted?
The answer to the fear
Could it be a love that lasts forever?
What if God is here?"

Throughout all of it, we gotta have Hope In The Dark! The overall theme of this song is we have to have Hope throughout all of the darkest moments!

The bridge makes us all think, if we can hear it. We need to listen closely, The bridge goes, "Can you hear it?
Listen closely
Look around you
All the beauty"

The overall theme of this song, is to keep our eyes open!
