Devotional Day 5

Yesterday we covered the most common #1 reason why Atheists become Atheists. That was Evidence. In today's study we will be covering the #2 reason which is faith. Faith is best defined as believing in something you can't see. In my work I hear all the time from Atheists that the reason that they don't believe is because they have no faith. So a good relatable thing to faith is the story of Lee Strobel. Strobel was a hardcore Atheist who claimed to "have no faith". But throughout the research that he was going through he figured out what faith actually is. Sometimes we may be low on faith. But when I hear atheists say they don't believe since they don't have faith.  I ask them,  do you believe in oxygen? Since we can't see oxygen but we believe it.  They always say yes,  that they believe in oxygen. PRAYER: Lord God,  I pray that you give me faith through the hard times.  Amen. SCRIPTURE: Matthew 8:26 NIV QUESTIONS: 1) Describe a time when

Devotional Day 4

In today's devotional we are going to be discussing the most common reasons why Atheists become Atheists. We will be taking different days to do this. Do know my job is to work with Unbelievers and do know I'm a former Atheist. Reason one: Evidence The most common reason why Atheists become Atheists is the lack of evidence which is also what had me into atheism.  But I found the evidence. Atheists believe that there is no God. A=Without Theist=God. If we look historically there is over 300 pieces of evidence for Jesus that is not taken out of the bible.  A reputable former Atheist is Lee Strobel. Strobel was a journalist for The Chicago Tribune and during his work he has covered thousands of stories. Lee was doing some research into Jesus and found the evidence but first didn't believe. But then he researched more into it. Lee's wife became a Christian and for awhile they were in a abusive relationship but God brought Lee to Christ. The key whenever we have friend

Devotional Day 3

Believing God is good when life is not. Wow,  think about that real fast. Your going through troubles but your also believing God is good,  let's be truthful,  it's complicated to believe that. As we discussed yesterday that trials will happen but Jesus has overcome the trials(John 16:33) But how can we believe God is good when our life is in pieces? When we are depressed. When it seems like God has left us. Pastor Craig Groeschel of Life.Church understands.  He wrote a book on this topic called "Hope In The Dark: Believing God is good when life is not". Groeschel's own daughter Mandy has so much health problems that they have had to visit Mayo Clinic so many times that doctors can't find a cure. One of Groeschel's friends Adrianne she thought that life was on a mountain but then the devil invaded, her husband cheated on her with one of her close friends,  then her daughter got diagnosed with cancer and later died. How could Adrianne have Hope after

Devotional Day 2

Even in the unknown,  you are good. Those are song lyrics from Life.Church Worship's song "You Are". In the darkness,  let's be honest it will be hard to worship God. He knows it as much as we do since he sent his son onto this earth. John 16:33 NIV "...In this world you will have trouble,  but take heart I have overcome the world" See,  Jesus specifically tells us that there will be troubles.  This world is a messy place,  but Jesus told us that already. Stop worrying about today and start focusing on tomorrow.  Jesus has overcome the troubles. So yes,  though it may be hard to worship God in the dark. But he is good? Yes,  God is so good that he sent his one and only son to die for our lives.  And not to condemn us because our sins but to save us from our sins. John 3:16-17 NIV "For God so loved the world he gave his one and only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  17For God did not send his

Some Announcements

Good Morning/Afternoon. I first would like to welcome you to the blog.  This is a blog where we will talk about different controversial topics in the bible.  From worship songs to scripture. I just have a few announcements involving some stuff. First,  we have expanded the ministry of Prodigal Music even bigger to reach out to gamers on Twitch. You may be asking why? I did this since the gamers may never be able to hear the words of Jesus unless we bring it to them. I'm also excited to announce with the Twitch, we are sponsoring Life.Church Gaming and GodSquad Church. These are two ministries that were made to bring gamers to Jesus. Do know with this,  we are NOT affiliated with them but we are just sponsoring them. They are not paying us anything or we're not paying them. Though I personally am a member of Life.Church and GodSquad that does not mean anything. During this transition period it's going to be rough but us Admin have prayed over it. Second announcement

Devotional day 1

God's love wipes away all fear. Think of that real fast and think if that relates to your life. The bible reads in Roman's 8:31 NIV "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us,  who can be against us?" Yes,  with God nothing can stop us. Philippians 4:13 NIV "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me" With God we can do everything and nothing can stop us. So it's the truth,  God's love does wipe away our fears. PRAYER: Father God, I pray that you wipe away all my fears. Amen. -DH

Full time Musicianship: The Life

I fully didn't introduce myself. My name is Darian Halliday and I am a Full Time Musician, a Full Time Pastor, A Part Time Twitch Streamer, and a Full Time Follower of Jesus. The definition of musicianship is best defined as someone who practices music as a living. Practicing music is hard, but following Jesus is harder. You may think that is controversial but think of it. Following Jesus has a lot of things to remember but playing music is also hard. Yes,  this may be controversial but be truthful life gets hard.  Life will fall in on you. If you ever feel suicidal or overwhelmed don't be afraid to speak to someone. Someone needs you to survive. Life is hard but don't focus on that.  Focus on the positives of life! There's so much to be positive about! -DH
