Devotional Day 2

Even in the unknown,  you are good.

Those are song lyrics from Life.Church Worship's song "You Are".

In the darkness,  let's be honest it will be hard to worship God. He knows it as much as we do since he sent his son onto this earth.

John 16:33 NIV "...In this world you will have trouble,  but take heart I have overcome the world"

See,  Jesus specifically tells us that there will be troubles.  This world is a messy place,  but Jesus told us that already.

Stop worrying about today and start focusing on tomorrow.  Jesus has overcome the troubles.

So yes,  though it may be hard to worship God in the dark.

But he is good?

Yes,  God is so good that he sent his one and only son to die for our lives.  And not to condemn us because our sins but to save us from our sins.

John 3:16-17 NIV "For God so loved the world he gave his one and only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  17For God did not send his son into the world to condemn it but to save it through him"

Yes, God is so good!!!

So the end question is in your heart does that statement "Even in the unknown,  you are good" is that statement true to you in your life?

PRAYER: God, you are good,  and we thank you for that.  God we ask in the unknown that you be with us the whole way.  Amen.

DAILY SCRIPTURE: John 3:16-17

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1) Can you say that statement with pride in God?
2) Describe a time in your life when you felt in the unknown.  Share that with people around you.  Then reflect. Was God there in the unknown?
